When working on a template design or certificates, you may sometimes encounter a situation where the font you need is not available. This usually happens because many fonts require a commercial license before they can be legally used in professional or client projects.
At the moment, FilPass can only use commercially free fonts by default. These fonts are safe to use without requiring additional licensing or payments.
One of the best sources for free commercial fonts is Google Fonts (https://fonts.google.com/). All fonts available on Google Fonts are open-source and free for both personal and commercial use, making them a reliable option for most projects.
If you have a specific font in mind, you can share the font name with the team. We can check whether a free commercial license is available. If the exact font is not available for free, we can recommend a Google Font alternative that has a similar style, weight, and overall appearance.
If the project requires the exact paid font, it can still be used as long as the proper commercial license is purchased. In this case, the client or requester must provide or pay for the font license to ensure it can be used legally in the project.
Using commercially free fonts such as those from Google Fonts, choosing similar alternatives, or purchasing the required license ensures that the design remains compliant with licensing requirements while maintaining the intended visual style.
